Dr Henshaw has been Programme Director for the Masters in Urban Design and Planning in the Department of Town and Regional Planning at the University of Sheffield, UK and authored the book “Urban Smellscapes”, before her unfortunate recent passing. Her pioneering research is still alive and focuses upon sensory experiences, perceptions and the design of cities, and in particular those gained through the sense of smell.
